Introducing our third and final member of our small friendly team, Catherine Garney who has been at Gate Pa now for 4 years.

Catherine is an experienced practitioner who has been working in health shops in the Tauranga region for over 14 years. She currently works part time at Gate Pa as she is also a busy mum with a 5 year old and teenager and runs her own part time nutrition clinic Nutrition For Health. 

Catherine is a Registered Clinical Nutritionist and Certified GAPS Practitioner who specialises in gut health, allergies, intolerances, autoimmune conditions, children’s health, and fertility nutrition.  

GAPS stands for Gut and Psychology Syndrome and Gut and Physiology Syndrome, a well-known gut healing protocol that has helped many people heal from chronic diseases all over the world. Catherine is available for appointments at Gate Pa upon request.  She also consults with clients nationwide via Zoom as she is one of only a handful of GAPS Practitioners in New Zealand.   

Catherine is originally from the UK and her own health journey with allergies, skin issues, coeliac disease, and infertility facilitated her change of career from more of a corporate background to natural health.   She is especially passionate about children’s health and creating positive nutritional foundations from a very young age that can really influence their future health and generations to come.
